SHN is launching the Hair eParty - a unique interactive experience for theater-goers attending the revival of Hair, opening tonight at San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre and playing through November 20.

Acclaimed director Diane Paulus talks about reimagining the theatrical cult classic HAIR  that changed the face of Broadway when in debuted in 1967. Her Tony Award-winning production explodes onto the Curran Theatre stage this Fall.

SHN presents The Bridge Project production of RICHARD III by William Shakespeare featuring Kevin Spacey with Sam Mendes directing. The SHN presentation in San Francisco is the only other US city outside New York where RICHARD III will play on its international tour. This special limited engagement runs October 19-29 at the Curran Theatre.

FELA! directed by Bill T. Jones, is a provocative hybrid of dance, theatre and music exploring the extravagant world of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. The show, an international sensation having been performed in three continents will play the Curran Theatrel Nov. 15 – Dec. 11 as part of th 2011-2012 SHN season.

When Elton John saw the movie Billy Elliot, he immediately knew it had to be a musical onstage.  Convincing the film's director, screenwriter and choeographer to join him on this creative journey took some doing, but Elton John prevailed and a musical was born. The creative team talks about taking Billy from screen to stage.
