Introduction by Tim Supple
"This production was created in India in 2005/6. The performers, designers and stage management are all Indian and Sri Lankan.  They come from a wide variety of regions, backgrounds and theatre traditions across the sub-continent. The company speaks many languages - seven of which are on stage in this show: English, Hindi, Tamil, Malyalam, Marathi, Bengali and Sanskrit. The text has been carefully and faithfully translated from the original. It is with great joy that we come to San Francisco after playing to audiences in India, Stratford-upon-Avon, London, Verona and across the UK and Australia."
